Workshop + Milonga with Show25 Apr 2015ReadingLet’s Tango Uk and Reading Tango Club are delighted to presentRoberto Leiva and Maricel Gomez 3hs. Intensive Workshop + Milonga with Show 3 hs. Workshop: 3:45 pm to 7pm Dancing: 8pm to 11:30pm Saturday 25th April, Roberto Leiva and Maricel Gomez will offer us an intensive afternoon of workshops and an amazing show. It is required to book in advance to attend the workshops. Roberto Leiva and Maricel Gomez have been on the Buenos Aires tango scene for many years and their names are well known in all the most famous milongas, as well as in the professional’s environment. Their artistic career starts in 1997, performing in several Tango Dinner-shows in Buenos Aires, such as La Cumparsita, Bar Sur, La Ventana, Taconeando, Esquina Homero Manzi, Piazzolla Tango, among others. Imagen 005 They toured the world with several famous Tango Companies such as: Nueva Compañia Tangueros, Juan Carlos Copes, Compañia de Arte Argentino, Corporacion Tango. They also performed in various Tango Festivals (Brasil, Colombia, Italy, Netherlands, Uruguay) They have an extensive experience as teachers both in Argentina and abroad (Austria, Belgium, Brasil, Czech Republic, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Switzerland) They run their successful tango school Almagro Tango Estudio in Buenos Aires where they have welcomed dancers from all over the world for many years. At present, Roberto is in the cast of the show “Milonga” (idea and choreography by Siri Larbi Cherkaoui, Production Sadlers Wells) which will be touring in Canada, USA and Australia. Maricel and Roberto share a common artistic background as they are both graduate at the The Academical National Art Institute in Buenos Aires (IUNA) where they studied tango and folk dances. They share a great passion for the Tango Salon style, where the embrace and the connection of the couple is the essential element of the dance. This is the foundation of their teaching method.
