TJ Milonga for the Homeless20 Jan 2018WindsorTango Journey is hosting a special fundraising Milonga for the Windsor Homeless Project. Sadly homelessness is a growing problem in the UK, caused by a complex mixture of social and personal challenges. The Windsor Homeless Project is a great local charity that supports these vulnerable people - anything from providing a hot meal to helping get people off the streets permanently. In the past 18 months 38 of our guests have been rehoused, 15 treated for addiction, and 3 found employment.GREAT NEWS EVERY PENNY RAISED WILL GO TO THE CHARITY! Everyone involved is offering their services on a voluntary basis - including the hall provider, the support staff, the cafe - everyone! So please come along and enjoy a fabulous evening of Tango - knowing that every penny you pay will be used to support the homeless. It's a WIN WIN situation! DETAILS Cost: £12 DJ: David Thomas LOCATION: Central Windsor. Accessible by car and train. Victoria Street Car park is next door to the venue and costs £1.50 for the whole evening (post 7pm) FOOD & DRINK: The Tree House Cafe will be serving Fair Trade teas and coffees (& you can buy suspended drinks to offer to a stranger in need). TJ will provide light snacks. if you fancy a pre milonga bite the venue is close to many bars & restaurants. PAYMENT: Places are limited so please get your tickets asap.
