Oxford Milonga26 Apr 2024OxfordOxford Milonga - April 2024 Edition - A welcoming inclusive traditional milonga in the heart of Oxford.We are back at the West Oxford Community Centre, Botley Road, Oxford OX2 0BT, for a last-Friday-of-the-month milonga. Experience a warm and inviting atmosphere with great dancing on Friday 26th April 20:00 - 23:15. Entry is £12 (students with a student card £8). We always welcome volunteers who can help with set-up, so you are welcome to come a little early. We also appreciate any help to pack away after. * A short walk from the Oxford Railway and Bus stations. * A lovely sprung wooden floor. * Great tandas prepared by resident DJ El Loco. * A welcoming community of tango dancers embracing all comers. Doors open: 19:45; dancing from 20:00 until 23:15. Please use the back door for entry. * Nibbles, pizza (21:30 - 22:00), tea & coffee, light refreshments, free raffle, and BYOB if you wish. There are no COVID preconditions for entry, but please only come if you are feeling well. Transport and Parking: The Oxford train station is 5 minute walk, while the central bus station is a 10 minute walk. There is parking for about 10 cars at the venue itself. The Park and Ride bus service (Seacourt) stops outside the venue. You can also find plenty more free on-street parking around the corner in Ferry Hinksey Road - a 5 minute walk. (Please let the door crew know if you would like to be part of a walking-group to chaperone to cars parked further away.) (Pedestrians and cyclists are not affected). However, access to the milonga venue and the normal parking locations are unaffected – regardless of the diversion signs. NOTE: Should you park behind somebody at the venue, please let us know on the door so that we can identify you should people be unable to leave when they wish.
